Grand Prize of 2005 Most Respected Enterprises [ 2005/12/12 ]
  High Appraisal on Management Innovation and Social Contribution from Federation of Korean Industries and Seoul Economy Daily Ranked Second of 2005 Most Respected Enterprises in Korea by AWSJ POSCO won the Grand Prize of 2005 Most Respected Enterprises jointly held by the Federation of Korean Industries and Seoul Economy Daily on the 18th.

Receiving the Grand Prize means that POSCO was recognized for its contribution to the community and environment, taking the initiative and setting an example to honor its responsibilities as an enterprise; the award also honors the remarkable management performances in POSCO's endeavors to implement management innovation.

At the awards ceremony of the most respected enterprises and entrepreneurs in 2005 held on the 18th, POSCO acquired the grand prize with Samsung Electronics. LG Chem and Hyundai Elevator jointly won best prizes. In the entrepreneur sector, Jeong-In Park the CEO of Hyundai Mobis, won the grand prize.

The Federation of Korean Industries and Seoul Economy Daily awarded the grand prize and best prize to domestic enterprises and entrepreneurs based on the following criteria: for enterprises, the competitiveness, innovation, management performance and enterprise activities by the company for the community; and for entrepreneurs, their leadership, management performance and social contributions.
